Journey Overview
This ministry focuses on running a second-hand shop in Athens, Greece, with a unique purpose: to empower vulnerable women through creative workshops.
Volunteers will assist with daily retail operations like helping with costumer service, shipping online orders, organising and decorating the store, taking payments and help coordinate the workshops, creating a positive and supportive environment for the women involved. They will also assist in Communications, Digital Marketing and Online Sales.
This initiative blends sustainability, community engagement, and personal growth in a meaningful way. The ministry aims to empower vulnerable individuals, including refugees and survivors of trafficking, by providing them with the spiritual and practical support they need to rebuild their lives, restore their dignity, and share in the love and hope of the Gospel.
This ministry is one of our Sustainable Ministries that aim to generate their own financial resources to support workers and ministries, ensuring long-term impact without relying solely on external donations.
Through a thoughtfully curated second-hand shop, the initiative not only promotes sustainability but also serves as a platform for social change. By offering opportunities for women to learn valuable skills like sewing and jewelry making, the ministry seeks to build their confidence, support their economic independence, and create a sense of community and belonging. Volunteers play a crucial role in both supporting the retail operations and facilitating these transformative workshops.
