A life transformed to impact others

God met Noémie at her lowest and lit a fire in her heart to live for Him.

For a long time, Noémie knew about God — but not God Himself.

Born into a Christian family, she grew up with the idea of a good but distant God. Present, yes, but silent. Loving, but unreachable.

At the age of 18, everything fell apart when family tragedies shook her world. Broken and lost, she decided to push God aside.

“I let go of everything — my faith, my hope, my relationship with God. I turned to the world, looking for something to fill the emptiness,” she said.

But instead of filling the void, the world began to consume her. Three years in a downward spiral, pulling her further from God… and from herself. Three years marked by deep inner pain, loneliness and an addiction she had been struggling with for over nine years.

Until one night, at 21-years-old, in a small flat. Alone. In tears.

“I was at my limit. I played a testimony on YouTube — one of dozens I’d watched. I wasn’t expecting anything. But that night… God met me. Right there in my living room. And in a single moment, He set me free from my addiction. I was free. Completely,” Noémie recalled.

A fire was lit in her heart. A new peace entered her life. And with it, a decision: to live for Jesus.

“I said to Him: ‘From today, I’m Yours. My life belongs to You. I want to serve You.’”

A new beginning

A few months later, Noémie joined OM for three months to take part in the Explore discipleship training programme. There, she discovered life on the mission field — and experienced a deep inner healing that confirmed what God was already doing in her heart.

“This training transformed me deeply. I also received several confirmations about part of my calling: evangelism.”

When she returned home, God called her into a season of waiting — three more years in which He continued to shape her, teach her and prepare her.

When the call reignites

In the summer of 2024, Noémie returned for a week as a coach at a TeenStreet camp and something in her heart stirred again.

“The call came alive again. My heart was on fire. I’d been passionate about media and social networks for years… so I said to God: ‘I’d love to serve You with OM in that area… but I know they’re not looking for anyone.’”

Out of curiosity, Noémie looked at OM’s open positions. And there it was: OM was looking for someone for social media communications.

God provides — down to the last penny

After several weeks of prayer, everything fell into place. OM invited her to try the role for three months, which included two outreach outings each week. Everything aligned — except the finances.

“I had nothing. But I asked God for a very specific amount. And I saw His faithfulness. My church supported me, I organised some fundraising… And just before I left, I checked the total: I had exactly the amount I’d asked for. Not a penny more. Not a penny less.”

Right where she’s meant to be

Today, Noémie is serving with OM in France, and she’s confident that this is exactly where God wants her to be. “I love what I do. I’m seeing fruit. I feel encouraged. And God keeps confirming that this is my place,” she said.

Through communication and evangelism, she sees God touching hearts — and her desire is to keep going.

“I’m preparing to return to OM in September 2025. I’m now looking for financial supporters so I can fully step into this calling.”

A heart for France

“My heart is for France. This beautiful nation that so needs to rediscover the love of Jesus. I was broken. I was lost. But God sought me out, found me and restored me. And now I want to give my life so that others can experience the same.”
